My Passion: Government Policy
Origin Story:
My pregnant mother was seized by the county sheriff from a dilapidated + neglected home. I was born at the sheriff's rescue ranch + then was placed at Herd on the Ranch. I am a testament to what happens when the government - from time to time - does the right thing. I'm on a quest to help influence policy-makers create a world were animals, people + all living life thrive + flourish.

Rescue Date: June 2018
My Passion: Animal Welfare
Origin Story:
I was rescued from a Texas Kill-Pen. At the time I thought I'd be shipped to Canada or Mexico where horse meat is considered a delicacy. But instead, a horse rescue organization intervined + found a home for me at the Herd on the Ranch.
I've seen + experienced a lot + want to dedicate myself to helping other animals have a 2nd chance to live a good life.

Rescue Date: July 2020
My Passion: Sustainable Farming
Origin:
My family's dog attacked me + then I was sent to an animal sanctuary that stitched me up. They then found a new + safe home for me at Herd on the Ranch. Honestly, I'm a humble peace-loving animal that lives for belly rubs + just wants to root through the soil all day long. Nothing beats digging, smelling + discovering all the beauty that lies beneath rich healthy soils ---the foundation for all life on earth.

Rescue Date: June 2018
My Passion: Cruelty-Free Foods
Origin:
I'm a failed 4-H'r, the runt of the litter who wasn't growing + had arthritic legs. I would've been destroyed. But the young daughter of my pig farmer wouldn't let that happen. She found a new home for me at Herd on the Ranch.
As a former "meat" pig, I am now reborn with a laser-focused interest in the rapidly evolving alternative protein world. We are on the cusp of a slaughter-free world!
