For those facing a life-limiting illness and when care at home is no longer feasible , Hospice of the Rapidan is planning a hospice facility . Round-the-clock care designed specifically for hospice patients will be provided by our specially trained staff. The serene and "home-like" atmosphere will be without the many restrictions sometimes found in health-care institutions. Because the needs of the hospice patient vary, we will design the facility to provide space when company and companionship are desired and privacy when residents prefer to be alone. The focus of care will be on the comfort and dignity of the patient, enabling him or her to spend the final days in a safe, clean, warm and welcoming environment.
