Medical Director

Hospice of the Rapidan
has an immediate opening for a hospice medical director who is responsible for the overall direction and management of the medical component of hospice care. Physicians should hold a license issued by the Virginia Board of Medicine in Virginia with a minimum of 1 year in practice following residency and/or fellowship training. The medical director is part of an interdisciplinary team, providing consultation in pain and symptom management and supportive care as appropriate. Facilitates and clarifies patient and family goals of care and counsels on end of life care. The medical director collaborates with various disciplines in the community including hospitals, nursing homes and doctors’ offices; continually seeking to improve services and access to hospice services. Local travel in the 5 county service area is required. Part time position with strong potential for increasing hours as our services expand to the community needs. Registered Nurse - Community Liaison

Hospice of the Rapidan has an immediate opening for a FT RN Community Liaison for educational outreach in Culpeper, Madison and Orange and discharge coordination at hospitals in Charlottesville and Culpeper. Excellent presentation, organization, computer and people skills are required to provide excellent end of life care to our community; daily travel in our southern service area with mileage reimbursed; competitive salary and benefits. Director of Development

Hospice of the Rapidan seeks a Director of Development to lead its fundraising efforts providing care to patients and families in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison,Orange, Rappahannock and surrounding central Virginia counties.  This is an opportunity for an organized and energetic individual to work with volunteer leaders to cultivate donor relationships and charitable partners.

 

Qualifications:

Prior development experience preferred including annual fund, campaign gift cultivation and solicitation, and working with board members and volunteers.  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.  Regular travel to meet with volunteers and donors is required.  Strong project management and the capacity to work independently are necessary.  Computer skills, including familiarity with fundraising database software, are necessary.  The Director of Development will be a self starter who is adept at outreaching to constituents and relationship building.

Community Marketing Coordinator
