Your contributions make it possible for Hospice of the Rapidan to provide outstanding end-of-life care for everyone who needs it in Culpeper, Fauquier, Orange, Madison and Rappahannock Counties regardless of their ability to pay. 

• Provide comprehensive grief support, none of the costs of which are covered by Medicare or insurance.  Compassionate care for surviving family members is central to our concept of comprehensive hospice care.
  
  Meet the individual needs of each patient and family at the time they need it most.  Medicare, which covers more than 85% of hospice patients, bases its payment rate on a minimum level of care.  Hospice of the Rapidan is committed to doing everything reasonable to meet the needs of our patients and their families, which often involves care beyond that contemplated by the Medicare and insurance formulas. 

• Provide education about end-of-life issues and outreach programs through our Speakers Bureau, publications, workshops and training programs.

Perhaps this is why so many families and loved ones of our patients ask what they can do to ensure this kind of care is always available when needed.
